About the role
You will own the Financials workstream on Workday implementations and optimization projects: running design sessions with controllers and accounting teams, configuring the tenant, and staying through go-live. See how we deliver Workday Financial Management.
What you will do
- Run design workshops on the chart of accounts, Foundation Data Model, worktags and business processes.
- Configure general ledger, banking and settlement, suppliers and payables, customers and receivables, and assets.
- Map current accounting processes to Workday and redesign the ones that won’t carry over.
- Plan and validate data conversion, and reconcile converted balances with the client’s accountants.
- Lead testing cycles, triage defects and prepare finance users for cutover.
- Hand over clear configuration documentation to the client’s Workday administrators.
What you bring
- Five or more years of hands-on Workday Financials work, including at least two full-cycle implementations.
- A current Workday Financials certification (Record to Report or Procure to Pay).
- Working knowledge of accounting: journals, accruals, intercompany, the month-end close.
- Confidence leading workshops with controllers and finance directors.
Nice to have
- Workday Accounting Center, Grants or Projects.
- Workday Adaptive Planning or Prism Analytics.
- A CPA or a background in corporate accounting.
